I am so excited to share today's DIY because it is a collab with a fellow DIY Blogger friend of mine, Mikyla! Check out her blog and her insta, she has an amazing sense of color and is always posting awesome projects! We wanted to collab on a project together that was inspired by SPRING! We wanted it to be simple enough that we could both put our own spin on it! We each got two different sets of bowls, (I went Goodwill shopping!) and we each made a planter out of them! We kept our designs a secret from each other until we were finished, and they both ended up SO CUTE!
Loving the wood bead garland trend, but not loving how expensive they are in stores! I knew I could make a garland at the length that I wanted, in the natural color, and tassel size of my choice! The beauty of doing it yourself, is customization! The garland can translate between seasons which I love, its going from a table centerpiece, to a vase accent on my mantle, to Christmas tree garland!
We got married on September 2nd, the Friday over Labor Day weekend. It was such a gorgeous day outside. Not too hot, and not too cold. A perfect overcast with the sun shining at just the right moments. I was so beyond thankful. Since we had our venue picked out very early on, the vibe of the day was pretty clear to us. We wanted to embrace the beauty of the venue itself, surrounded by the beautiful grounds, tall trees, hills, and greenery. We highlighted the sage greens, the neutral creams with a hint of gold. We wanted a timeless, romantic feel and that is exactly how it came to be. We had a year to plan, which meant all the DIY projects I could possibly fit in to that time frame. I can’t capture everything in one post, so I am breaking things down, up first: The Details.
Hello everyone! Happy Spring! When the seasons change, I switch up my skin care routine. That was some of the best advice I have ever received! I am always looking for new products to try out! I am lucky enough to not have super sensitive skin when it comes to products, so I am able to try out all kinds of serums. “Retinol” was always a scary word to me. I thought it was for the older generation. But learning all about how important it is to take care of your skin in your 20s was mind-blowing! I started using retinol serums a couple years ago. And it really is a game-changer. So when goPure reached out and asked me to try and review their Firm and Lift Serum, I was all in!
