DIY Stone Mid Century Planter

By:
Amanda Puleo

I am so excited to share today's DIY because it is a collab with a fellow DIY Blogger friend of mine, Mikyla! Check out her blog and her insta, she has an amazing sense of color and is always posting awesome projects!

We wanted to collab on a project together that was inspired by SPRING! We wanted it to be simple enough that we could both put our own spin on it! We each got two different sets of bowls, (I went Goodwill shopping!) and we each made a planter out of them! We kept our designs a secret from each other until we were finished, and they both ended up SO CUTE! Funny enough, we ended up using a very similar type of textured spray paint—great minds think alike! Head to Mikyla's blog to check out her final result!

Supplies You'll Need for this Project

You will need:
• 2 bowls of your choice!
E6000 Glue
• Spray Paint — here is the color I used

  1. Start by spray painting your bowls. I did 3 coats
  2. Let dry fully
  3. Use your glue and a popsicle stick or a toothpick to smooth around the edges
  4. Add one on top of the other, and hold
  5. Let dry completely!

Then you are finished! You can add more decorative elements to it with acrylic paint, but I opted to leave it as is because I chose bowls with more texture and I wanted that to shine!

That’s it you guys! Such an easy and fast and cute DIY for spring! Also, keep this in mind if you are searching for a Mother's Day gift!!

Don’t forget to check out Mikyla's over on her blog!

Much love friends!
